BBC Media Village, White City, London, UK
Design champion, ensuring quality and consistency
‘A happy workforce is a productive workforce’. The BBC
aspires to be “the most creative organisation in the world” and
requires its property strategy to support this aspiration.
Innovations in working practices have brought about a
flexible and enjoyable working environment. Extensive staff
consultation was conducted, with individual departments
customising their own environments. Paul Cayford also managed the relationships between the BBC,
the architect Allies & Morrison, and interior designers, DEGW
and Tilney Shane.
“The BBC Media Village at White City... is path-breaking, not
only for the design for UK companies, but leading edge companies
across the world – congratulations.” Professor Richard Scase - author, academic and entrepreneur -
is one of the UK's leading business strategists.
